Everything is Changing

So I went to a new specialist yesterday with my mom, because she was concerned I had the same genetic disorder she was diagnosed with recently. Turns out she was right. This doctor completely ruled out me having fibromyalgia and ADD, and diagnosed me with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (Hyper mobility type), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and Post Viral Chronic Fatigue syndrome. While most of this shocked me, it also made me feel a little relieved. EDS is a genetic connective tissue disorder caused by a defect in collagen production. Knowing that I have a genetic condition that can be proven gives me a little more validation than fibromyalgia did. Now maybe more people will believe that I am sick and not think im making things up. I will continue to blog (though i will have to change the name) as I learn more about my illness and figure out how to deal with everyday life. Thank you for supporting me and reading my blogs!
